How it works
What keeps the fleet in the war?
Your navy depends on stock, service ships, civilian trade and the ability to protect them.
Supplies have to get there
Naval depots and service craft move real stock. A moving fleet can outrun its supply; safe transfers need an actual rendezvous. Fuel service, ammunition supply and rebuilding damaged machinery are different jobs.
You command the navy in a wider economy
Survey ships discover opportunities. Civilian government, businesses and merchants have their own activity; a naval endorsement is a promise of protection, not an instant colony. Freight moves between suppliers and customers. Disruption and losses affect the economy that supports later naval funding.
Replacement has a cost
Ships compete with research and supplies for money, materials, trained crew, yard capacity and time. The goal is a war in which keeping a route open—or bringing a damaged hull home—changes what your fleet can field next.
